with a rather apt name, the Corona Australis molecular cloud complex is a cold bloom of gas and dust 400 light-years away. Not lit by red hot glowing hydrogen, such as in most nebulae, but by reflection from nearby stars. These proto-stellar clouds have lots of organic molecules. The bright stars in the middle are what happens to the dust under gravitation attraction. An ancient 12 billion year old globular cluster is also visible.
