Narrowband Filter query

I have been thinking of upgrading my NB filters. Baader have introduced their range of Ultra Narrowband filters. Link to the Ha one is here https://www.baader-planetarium.com/e...nm-filter.html
Ha has 3.5nm bandwidth, while the OIII and SII are 4.5nm.
Just seeing if anyone has any experience with these, any thoughts?
Also I have been told that narrow Ha filters miss out on a nearby emission line, have not been able to find info on that online. Would anyone know if that would be the case with these?

Cheers

Malcolm

I cannot help much with views on those particular filters but the emission line that is being mentioned is the NII (Nitrogen II). It's very closer to the Ha emission. 3nm filters separate the two but a 5nm Ha filter contains both.

Yep, the NII was the one I was thinking of. More research needed I think!!

You definitely need a 3nm or lower to separate Ha and Nii. Not sure what Bert uses but they might be astrodon or astronomik?

Gee I was looking at the price of a set from Baader... brings a tear to my eye .

I managed to hunt down a reliable AUD price of these and it seems quite reasonable for the 1.25" version. Looking at around $800 for the Ha and SII filters, the OIII is not available at the moment apparently.

Thanks for the replies guys. Have been looking to see if I can find any data from independent testing on the Baader filters. Only thing I can find is on the Astrodon website where they bag the Baader filters (but without naming Baader) .
