Problems with Altitude Lever on AZEQ5

Hi all,

Has anyone had issues with the spring loaded altitude lever on the Skywatcher AZEQ5 mount? I can get mine to move when I don't have a scope or counterweights on the mount , otherwise it doesn't engage at all. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure that the manual recommends adjusting altitude with that lever only when the mount is unloaded.

Probably a silly question, but have you loosened off the locking knob on the side?
