Lumenera USB 3.0 Cameras

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has looked at the new generation of Lumenera USB cameras?

http://www.lumenera.com/usb3/index.php

They are claiming up to 170fps at 2MP and at 2048 x 1088.

Not sure about pricing.

I've requested pricing and availability.
The colour QE doesn't look good at Ha......the mono would be the way to go.

Not that I am into planetary or lunar imaging, but wouldn't the limiting factor be the light gathering ability of your scope at this speed. 1/170 s exposure is very short.

Peter,
The fast frame rate "freezes" the seeing, and by stacking up to a 1000 frames you can build up a good, lo noise image.
Programs like Registax and Autostakker were designed just to solve this problem.
