That's a very cool palette.
So what order did you use?

Thanks, it was one of the matrix presets in Startools

HST - Synth L + S2HaO3,
SHO - 40SII + 60Ha, 70Ha+30OIII,100OIII

Cheers
Alistair

A very beautiful image. Lots of very fine detail, but also vibrant and interesting.

Thanks for the comments.

Initial RGB mapping was done in the HST palette - S2HaO3 with the 6:1:3 weighting.
To this, I created a synth lum with weightage based on duration of each filter.
hence - Synth Lum + S2HaO3 ->LRGB

There is an optional "Matrix" modification in startools that provides different blending combinations, one that I chose was
SHO - 40SII + 60Ha, 70Ha+30OIII,100OIII - as R,G,B, because in the compose mode, it processes the three channels in parallel and can blend them in any order and ratio.

I'm no expert, but that's my understanding.

Cheers
Alistair

I get it now. There is indeed a palette blending/rotation facility in Startools. Cool.

Wow, that palette certainly makes the colours jump out and the different areas of the nebula quite distinctive. A feast for the eyes
