Re surface a large mirror.

Before you go for that large Newtonian think first about the time it will need to be re mirrored.

If I could afford the mirror in that video, I reckon I could probably afford the costs when the time comes to redo the surface.

In another video out of Scotland on the mirror process the guy said they do it every two years...I wonder if that is the norm.

During a 2 week window with boards open to NSW I managed to have "Zamar's" mirror recoated by Palmway Optical with the 98% enhanced coating. It was picked up Thursday and returned home safely on the following Monday . The original coating was 22 years old. 2 years sounds ridiculous for amateurs unless it was silvered.
