Help Please - IC 4592 - Blue Horsehead

Hi all,
Finally back to imaging last night before the clouds rolled in (I guess the rest of the weekend is done now)

Anyway, I pointed at IC 4592 Blue Horsehead and well, this is all I can extract, can any one shed any light on it for me ?

ED72, Olympus E-M1 MkII (un modded), iso 3200 60sec exposures
62 lights, 50 flat, 50 Bias, stacked in DSS
Stretched way beyond what I think is practical

Is it because of using a colour camera ?

Hi Mark,

My limited knowledge would suggest it's
your processing techniques.

What program/s are you using to process the data ?

Hope you don't mind ?

I took your image and
Did a quick reprosses with my mobile.

It certainly isn't Photoshop or such but still gave
Results.

I used simple sharpen tools and curves to get there.

Hopefully other members can add some
Input.

I also enjoy YouTube links such as Astrobackyard.

The host, Trevor gives some great
tutorials on image processing.

Well worth the look.

Paul.

I have bought Trevor's processing guide

Photoshop is my go to, but I just could get any colour in it.

BAck to teh drawing board I guess, good thing the weather is ****, allows plenty of time to practice/learn some editing

Thanks you

As is that's extremely hard to process. You've picked up something quite faint and you've done short exposures on it. Unfortunately there's no easy solution on this one. You need to do long subs, 10min + and a lot of them. Hours worth. You'll also need to shoot good calibration frames and finally try to dither your subs. That will help with the noise pattern. You might want to try Rho just next door to it as a test. It's brighter.
