My first Dragon pic

Fighting Dragons of Ara NGC 6188
Optolong L-enhance Filter

asi 294mc Pro ED 72

2 hours acquisition.
Fighting the thermals of our house roof as my backyard is north facing hence I have to shoot over the roof of the house for southern skies. I also had to do this unguided so I kept all subs at 2 minutes due to a broken guide camera.
What can I expect with more subs and HA integration extracted from the Filter using APP
This was just straight DSS and photoshop.

Nice one Nik, that's much better than my first attempt at the dragons. I wouldn't have expected anything near that nice with a OSC and the L-enhance. I like the earthy colours, I'm starting to lean that way with my NB images too.

Thanks Lee I find the earthy colours more natural. Sometimes some inages look very oversaturated. I will be working on this further as I haven't factored in the HA extraction that APP allows.

Nik, I like the second one as it gives a real 3D effect to the dragons.

Cheers, Chris

Thanks Chris Great feedback, my missus said the same. She said the dragons in the second one really stand out.

Good effort, especially unguided.

Nice work Nik. I agree that the ‘earthy tones’ have worked very well for this image. The last image posted definitely has extra depth to it.
