How Does RoboFocus Report the Temperature

Hello,

I am interested in purchasing Rod's RoboFocus unit from the Accessories classified and Rod has been extremely helpful in accommodating my questions and even made a short video for me.

My question to those in the know is how does RoboFocus report the temperature?

The reason I ask is that version 3.2 should have a temperature sensor in-built. When Rod connects to SGP you can see the focuser connect and move, all is good and I'm happy with that. In the space for the temperature reading it says 0.00, unlike my SharpSky which will report the temperature in this box and allow SGP to handle temp compensated focusing.

Could those that have a RoboFocus and use its temp compensation feature or know how it works please provide some feedback on this as I want SGP to handle the temp compensation rather than the unit itself. Or am I misunderstanding how it works?

Many thanks,

Bart.
