a wee bit of testing - helix on diet photons

yes thats right the helix is on a diet. i starved it of some photons, not by design either.
i used for the first time the wo 132FLT with a field flattener and reducer with the canon EOS RA. i soon realised that the flattener and the camera didn't work out, the coma was horrendous . cropped image supplied but i did get great focus

the second image was from the rasa 8 and asi 294mcpro. the rasa is a brilliant scope but in bortle 7 skies. without other filters and such i think its all i can get in 4 hours at F2

Both look very good to me David, sorry to hear about the coma with the full frame EOS Ra.

Nice focus shot with the Bahtinov Mask.

I still cannot get my head around how many 'scopes and configurations you are able to set up and image with - I have trouble with just managing one rig.

Cheers

The difference is you are a craftsman, I am a bunnings weekend hack who is a tool, sorry blames his tools

I am aiming to get some consistency some day.

The focus was achieved with optodextrouscoupler ( By hand) using the button of fortune And liveview on the eos is awesome

Hah - now you are over-stating my skill set whilst under-rating your talents.

I'd forgotten about it David since I sold the scope off a while ago. Loving the wo132, using a eaf asi focuser but with the manual hand controller. I had focus within 30 seconds with the mask on. I designed the mask and had it made of stainless steel many years ago. Was designed for the 127 and fits the 132 like a glove. Nothing wrong with your memory Dave.
