NGC 1097 in Fornax

90 x 180s on OSC with Optolong L-Pro 1.25”

Taken at early full moon a few nights ago.

Can make out the spiral arm interacting with the smaller galaxy

That is a faint little beauty not often here and hard to catch. Well done. A lot of additional time required with the L filter I suppose.

Thanks, Ray. Yeah more time never hurts! It’s OSC so just the L-Pro. Not a luminance filter.

Thought I’d try a different target. It’s faint! At first I wasn’t even sure I had the right patch of sky! 😂
