Sorry english speaking people i will answer this in dutch

Hallo peet.

For meer vragen PM mij.

Martin.

Voordat ik het vergeet, je kan de kamera in een 1.25 houder schuiven.

I use one quite successfully as a guide camera. Its easily as sensitive as the Meade LPI, so for most things it's OK. It won't quite resolve fainter stars like the new Orion Starshoot Autoguider can, it doesn't cost $350 either. It's good on lunar, but untried on planets yet.

Goede nacht

agent

thanks for the reply, both of you.
even as guiding camera it can be interesting, but i want it to use as a webcam for planets.
the problem with most cheap camera's is the resolution 640 x 480.
and this was tracking my attention, the higher resolution of 1280 x 1024.
even as it will be 800 x 600 it can be interesting.
and I heared now that it vits in a 1,25".
i sent a 2 days old picture of the moon with 3x barlow made with a 114mm reflector.
the seeing was about 4.

Look at the QHY-5 Color guider/camera.
The Orion starshoot is just a re badged version of the QHY-5 Mono, but Orion dont have the color version.
Its just not as sensitive as a guider due to the debayer filter. But planetary its good.

aGent V3 as CCD camera

Hi
I also purchased the aGent V3 camera because of the CCD lens they assured me it had. I captured great lunar images with it but would love to know more about how you have used it?
Thanks

Don't know what the V3 cams are capable of, but the V2 were good for the Moon, but not much else. The 800 x 600 is possible as I used to use it in that mode. The body is about 0.5mm smaller in diameter than an I 1/4" (32mm) eyepiece so fits in the focuser where it touches . Put a bit of 0.25mm shim around it and its OK. I was in touch with one of the techs for a while (James ?) at Liquid Digital Solutions re using it for astro imaging, so if you get good results let them know as they were quite interested to hear it was being used for that.

Cheers
Bill
