Ngc1313

Exciting times now with a very fast scope. This is luminance I took last night of the galaxy NGC1313. The amount of dust in the surrounding field after 210 minutes of exposure is stunning. The recent image by the Atacama team prompted me to look at this galaxy and I am glad I did.

There appears to be a plethora of more distant galaxies in the back ground too.

That's a superbly detailed image Paul! Are you going to go for colour?

Cheers

Thanks Steve. I plan on getting colour during the next month when cloud and the moon allow. I need to collect double this amount of luminance and an hour or so in each colour. Maybe even grab some Ha as I am sure the galaxy will have lots of Ha present.

Thanks Rom, I am quite happy with the performance of the optics on this budget scope and hope I can fully tame it to show how good these scope can potentially be for the average consumer.
