Sun Oct15th

Wind, cloud, shower and a little Sun. Well, seems I have solved the ghosting issue affecting the proms in single stack, but in double stack for the disc I still have an issue, reflections from the etalons? I may need to tilt the camera perhaps Ken?
Anyways seems I have captured the new AR2776 in single stack? A few proms but mostly they are faint.
Not a great day but nice to see the glorious star that is making Mars visible for all those great IIS Mars images being presented!

Peter,
Yes, there's always the chance of picking up ghosts when a double stack is used....a slight tilt of the DS may help but may also change the tuning...

Tilting the camera won't help with ghosts...only helps when you experience Newton Rings.
You SS image shows promise. Adding the DS and tuning towards the red wing should show even more detail.
Proms are always better with a SS (doppler shift)

A nice image of the new AR on the eastern limb Peter. It's good to see you are winning against those ghosting gremlins.
