Help

can someone please give me some addvise on what would be the best scope for a beginner to use.

i currently use a refractor 70mm/900mm which i have been for about 6 months but now i want to upgrade, i had my mind set on getting a 130 EQ but heard that the mount is not user friendly (for beginners) so now i am thinking a 6" dob until i have a little bit more experiencing in the sky.

i know everyone is different but your insight would be much appriciated

Go for a DOB. Much simpler in everything, and 6" (150mm) is considerably better than 130mm. Beginner's EQ mounts (like 130 EQ) need extraordinary skill to operate them - due to their roughness and shakiness. I have practical experience with little brother of it - Celestron Astromaster 114EQ. 130EQ looks marginally better to me.

Yep, go DOB to start, but go 8" or 10", it's worth the bit extra, beleive me. It can always be sold on to fund your next big aperture.
