Tuesday Night is looking good South Coast

Just checked the CFN forecast for tomorrow night and it’s looking really good down here near Ulladulla south coast NSW
No Moon, No wind , low Jetstream and clear all night ( although RH is up a bit )
Setting up the 8” f5 newt to hopefully image some galaxies
Hope others around the country have similar conditions
The rest of the week is also looking ok
Cheers

Hope you haven't jinxed us for tonight, cause it's still partly cloudy here atm. though CFN is still predicting clear skies for tonight.

Well here although I would love to try out the new scope I hope it rains as it is very dry. It looks as though it could start to rain any minute and I am still feeling crook so maybe I can't image anyways.
I hope you get your galaxies Martin.

Clear day and night in Melbourne last night however the transparency was terrible, may as well stayed indoors and done nothing last night, very disappointed.

There was a fair amount of smoke haze in the afternoon, there wasn't a breeze to speak of that would have cleared it out.

Is the department of fire and embers doing more burnoffs?

Just checked the Planned Burning site, there's an ongoing planned burn in state forest about 6km north of Anglesea.

Thanks Alex
I imaged NGC 300 the other night and pushed the DSLR to hard , should have run 3 or 4 minute subs instead of 5 minute. Processing turned out ok but image had a lot of grainy noise even after darks , dithering, binning and Noise reduction
Imaging NGC 253 tonight and running 4 minute subs , see how we go
So far Subs look ok on the laptop
Cheers
