Eagle Claw

The bit of M16 that would be the feet.

40 of 180s subs, Gain 140.

It should have been 80 subs, but the mount moved after the flip and I captured 40 subs of something else...

Why is it that in Astro Photography we always seem to be learning?

Anyway, processed in PI and PS.

Thanks for looking.

Edit: Using the Esprit 150

Very nice detail in the Pillars! Good colour too
My first instinct was to turn my head around to look at it the "right" way up

Nice rich colours Peter, the Esprit 150 must be a great scope to use on deep Sky targets. I have an Esprit 100, so I can only imagine how heavy the 150 must be. You either have a permanent set up or you go to the gym regularly! Be good to use it on ngc 253, maybe in the coming months ?

Neuro: Thanks. I managed to capture a nice star field with the 'stray subs'.

Colin: Derrr, I didn't even twig it was the 'Pillars of Creation'. Thanks for pointing them out!

Mic: Yeh, the 150 is quite heavy but I'm OK with moving it about.

Fernando: Onya mate!

Marc: Without IIS support, it would never have happened. 'Who'd ave thunk?. Taa muchly.
