Hello all
I am struggling to produce a classic hubble palette image. I try using the method as described on BF Astro site and also try the hubble creation action in Annies Action for photoshop.
Whilst I am pretty happy with the way my image turns out (a bit green for some) I would like to achieve that classic hubble palette look.

Could someone please have a go at processing the registered master channels? I would love to see that it can be done with my data and that there is not something fundamentally wrong with them.
Thanks Colin. i have an image in the deep space imaging section. Cant seem to copy and paste address on my phone but it is titled"here be more dragons"
Thank you
Jeremy
Here's a first, very quick hack at it: http://www.astrobin.com/306548/ It's not a great result but the colours are starting to approximate that classic gold & turquoise.
I think one of your problems is that the Oiii looks badly gradient affected. A quick gradient removal improved it dramatically.
Thanks very much Rick, that is a very nice result. You are right of course about the gradient in the O3 data, it makes sense now that you point it out and why I struggled with a part of my processing.
Thanks too Colin and also benklerk, it is nice to see other peoples interpretation of the data.
I forgot to fix up the O3 gradient in my first image. Went back to fix it again.
Boy what a difference. It has more the classic hubble colour look now.
But I do have limited experience working on Hubble palette colours.
