Potato in Space (Video) - Occultation by Asteroid (954) Li

Asteroid (954) Li is a main belt asteroid with a diameter of about 58km. On April 15th I was one of two observers to record an occultation of a star by this asteroid. This was the first multi-chord occultation observation for asteroid Li.

More information about occultation observing:

Occultation observations are used to measure the shapes and refine the orbits of asteroids. It can also lead to discoveries of asteroid moons, ring systems, and previously unknown double stars.

Good one Peter. Thank for posting. Now I know how you guys do it. Little bits of science from different folk added together to get a picture.
Thanks and cheers, Richard.
