Running Chook to Carina

G'day everyone.

You are probably all pretty sick of this region by now but I couldn't help myself the other morning while out imaging and had to do a quicky.

One of my favourite parts of the sky.

Also, this was a test to see whether a 'different to normal' Ha improvement mod worked that I did the other day. And I reckon it did aye, so I'm pretty happy.

Anyway, this here is 28x 1min subs with the old 350D and 85mm. ISO 1600 no darks, flats, or biases.

Largerer Here

Cheers
Jo

PS, sorry about all the CA! I'll use 5.6 next time.

A light yellow filter would be one way to fight the CA.

Thanks Rex, Kevin, Cam Simon and Dunk!

Glad you liked it, you can find out more about the camera mod in this thread, Alternative Way to Mod your Dslr (no glass removed)

It appears to be not quite as an effective as a usual mod is at letting in the Ha, letting if only about half as much. But still, that suits me well, as I am getting a little of that extra Ha colour and detail without terribly mucking up the colours.

Cheers
Jo
