ASI290 lucky imaging

SPX350 F9 (3179mm fl), ASI290 Baader RGB Astronomik UHC filters, 0.38"/pixel.

Hope you are all keeping well.

I have not imaged for a year now but I am ready for 2021, I have a few quick images with the sensitive 290 planetary cam, looking at high surface brightness deep space objects with no longer than 2.5 sec exposures collected together - UHC for Lum and RGB colour data.

Eta Carina and the Keyhole neb-Car.
M43-Ori.
NGC2070 core R136 cluster.-Dor.
NGC 6572 Blue Raquetball planetary neb-Oph.
IC 4593 planetary neb-Her.

I have a few more images from a while back which I will post soon.

Regards, John.

All power to you! Brilliant !!!!

The Homunculus is just "Take that, you ratbags" brilliant. I remember someone special saying, about 18 years ago, "This astrophotography ... they'll never take a photo of the Homuncululs like what you can see by eye". Mission completed.

Did we say "WOW" ??

Best,
MnT

Getting very up close and personal John. A great technique for peering into those tiny objects

Thanks everyone, the ASI290 allows for quick long focal length imaging instead of many days with the bigger cooled cam and it gets you to take advantage of shorter spells of clear weather.

Regards, John.
