It shouldn't be too difficult to get the lens attached to the camera. It might take a little fiddling with adaptors and spacers to get the correct spacing. You shouldn't have to fight too much with tilt at f/5.6, at least not as much as with faster lenses. How well it will work is hard to guess until you test it. There aren't a lot of camera lenses that perform really well on star fields.

Cheers,
Rick.

I'd save your money as the quality of the optics must be awful, a brand name 500mm lens start around $1500.

Hi,
I think you will be disapointed with a camera mirror lens. I have once tried a Russian Rubinar mirror lens, it was sharp but the contrast was low. I have had some others too, always they have been of low contrast. Most people I believe feel this too when trying to do astrophotographing with camera mirror lenses.

I have collected some links with review that maybe can be interesting to read:

As a travel equipment it had been very good if just the quailty had been better.

Maybe there are others that's more optimized to astrophotographing. If you find one, let us know!

Here is a list of what equipment I have/had:

Any idea how the asi1600mm pro would go with a samyang f2.8, 14mm lens?
