Camera detection is not working because of the Wine/USB interface. Given time to have a good look it will work just fine. I suggest downloading a trial copy of CrossOver and trying that. APT is a very nice program otherwise. I think it would be worthwhile the developers exploring the Wine option for Linux users. I'm sure that you will pick up some extra business.

Hi Rowland,

I don't have experience with Linux and don't have a machine with it It will be great if you can give CrossOver a try! Please let me know if I can be in help!

I'm happy to announce that APT provides hosting for 28 authors and more than hundred beautiful images

Take a look at: http://www.ideiki.com/astro/Gallery.aspx

Everybody is welcome to join!

There are only two limitations - up to 2MB per image (not very strict ) and APT (full or demo) to be used for capturing.

Thanks Ivo,

On another note, I took some images to capture the eclipse but noticed I could not set-up AV exposure in a plan. This would have been a great help during the eclipse. Instead I sat there click Shoot every-time. I could see the benefit of putting AV in plans for such an occasion.

Maybe you could put it the list of to do.

The post on the timelapse. - http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=84114

AV does not work well on the 450D using Live View although I noticed you have a brightness control on the latest version (1.71) which I did get a chance to use. Whether it is good enough I am not sure.

Thanks Malcolm! I added the "AV in light plan" feature in the list. Currently it is available only in "flat" plans.

The Brightness feature can be in help, but it depends on many things. In one case it can be handy in other not... I found it useful when there are stars in the FOV that are close to the LiveView limit.

Great clip!

Ditto Ivo...it wouldn't be possible to take the images I take without APT: sequences of differing ISO; sub length; dithering; image magnification; dark plans; FWHM; live-view magnification past the inbuilt camera limits; plan editors.......a multitude of incorporations since your initial version.

It has surely changed the DSLR Astro scene and you should rightly be proud of your baby.
