Vela Supernova

A total of 5hrs of OIII and Ha data with a QSI683 and a Zeiss 135mm f2 lens @f2.8 .

HOO processed in Pixinsight.

Probably could do with a few more hrs.

That's brilliant!
With all of the images of this region with larger telescopes you do loose just how big it is, THAT big at 135mm

Thanks Colin. I was thinking the same thing when I was collecting the data from my back lawn. The region is rather large.

Beautiful result Dave, this area looks so good in HaOIIIOIII and that lens looks to be a beauty too, great job and a thoroughly enjoyable view of one of the best areas of the whole sky . Would love to see a larger version posted somewhere, can you do that?

Yep, Ha = Red and OIII for Blue and Green
