Various Snaps

Haven't shared any photos for a while because I've been a little busy doing SFX editing on a Dr Who based radio play, and it is time consuming.. Those times I go out with camera in hand are general forays , and not for a specific purpose lately (so the fungi photos are not accumulating as rapidly as they usually do this time 0f year).
So, this is just a collection of random photos from the past few months that you may like looking at. Or not, as your tastes take you.

Hi Trevor
Great shots especially the photo of the pivot.
I recononise the spaceship from Anzac park in Ulverstone. Is it still there?
The last time I saw it was about 25 years ago when I lived on the NWC at Boat Harbour and then Hobart.
I got to see the southern lights quite a few times but never got any photos!!!
Cheers
Andy

What a beautiful selection.

Thanks for posting those. As a newbie to the site, this forum is proving to be a treasure trove of wonderful surprises. Not just awesome astronomy photos and generously shared advice - but some splendid earthbound photos as well.

Cheers,

Chris

Yes, still there, along with the flying saucer, but they have locked it up so we can no longer climb in it. Apparently a large lady got in, and couldn't get out. So they decided no one can access it any more. A bit sad.

It's what we do when the suns out, or the night sky is clouded up. Keeps us all sane :-)
Plus, it's just nice to share a bit of ourselves from time to time.

True, true. But I always think that sanity is sometimes a bit over-rated...
