Hi all, building a new house at Krawarree. The sky is delightfully dark. These pics, taken on Tuesday evening, are part of an ongoing learning process for me. Some are stitched panos using a Samyang 24mm lens, others using a Sigma 50mm lens. Interesting sky glow that night.
Looking forward to moving the observatory out here! Hope you like them. cheers
Peter
Nice crisp shots there Peter. What camera did you take them with? Glad you decided to post them on this thread, I was getting sick of seeing mine up the top for weeks without any replies.
Hi I have an "old" Sony A7S. I really like the colours it captures in low light. For nightscapes I am always surprised by the colour or the sky and how much it varies due to sky glow. I tend to use ISO 6400 or less, I abide by the rule of 500 (or in my case, a rule of 250 :-) ) and to date I have been too lazy to stack and calibrate images. So what you see are single frames with in camera dark subraction, or multiple dark subtracted single frames stitched in LR. I also have started to use some of the Topaz Labs plugins, in particular Topaz Sharpen AI and Topaz DeNoise AI. Cheers.
