I have a Milburn, super solid and no flex.

Can't comment on X though.

Cheers,

The HD wedge for the Meade is pretty good, but generally does need a bit of "fine tuning" - some of the contact surfaces are rough and a fine file works wonders.
I used a LX200 12" (>17Kg) on the HD tripod (cut-down) and the HD wedge for many years for spectroscopy. No major issues.

In the UK the Millborn wedge is given good reviews, but I've never tried it.
