Jupiter from Melbourne this morning Feb 4, 2017

Hi guys,

One of my first acquisitions of this Jupiter apparition.

Typical flickery seeing in Melbourne due to the jetstream, but was able to get some detail and a sign of things to come for the coming months as Jove becomes more favourable for us in the Southern skies.

Lets hope Melbourne weather co-operates!

Clear skies.

John, that's very good but for the processing artefact surrounding the satellite shadow... sometimes less is more.

A necessary evil sometimes when processing in poor seeing conditions and when image is de-rotated in WINJUPOS. Needs to be useful to JUPOS and ALPO teams rather than being just pleasing to the eye I'm afraid.

Hi John, Thanks very nice
I love the string of white ovals in the south!
Looks like the Jupiter season is well and truly open for 2017!
Regards Domenic
