H-a filter for interline CCD

Is it advisable to use a 35nm H-a filter over say a 7nm H-a with interline cameras? f/5.3 system. I seem to find such advice in several places, and Baader does make a specific 35nm filter for interline CCD's.

Appreciate the advice here.

They are cheaper than most Ha filters. I'm sure they'll do ok on brighter targets. <6nm advocates would say otherwise I'm sure of that.

I've had interline CCDs and they worked fine with Astrodon 6nm Ha filters.
What the tighter passband does is block out unwanted signal and just lets in the Ha. So I don't see how the type of CCD comes into it?

CCD type doesn’t make a difference. A 35nm Ha filter is more like a narrow red filter than a Ha.

Seeing baader specifically markets these for interline cameras, I assume this is where the "hype" came from. https://www.baader-planetarium.com/e...cd-filter.html

I used to use a 7nm with my other SBIG, and never noticed any real issue either, but when I read this on a couple of places, wondered if there could be any benefit.
