I'm back

Hello everyone,
Frank here ex of Sydney now in the Hunter Valley. Been away for a few years due to cancer and other problems but now recovered and looking to start imaging again. Not looking forward to winter though. Have not imaged in nearly 5 years but now looking forward to getting back into it. Can my friends on this site let me know where the big leaps have been in astroimaging in the last 5 years. I'm sure there must be a few.
My Losmandy G11 mount needs to escape from its box but not sure if I should upgrade and I'm sure my RC10 is a bit out of date. As for cameras there seems to be a huge push forward. Software improvement has left me bewildered.
I know this is a lot to ask but looking forward to hearing from you guys and girls.
