M8 Lagoon with new camera & new learning curve.

After receiving the ZWO ASI071MC pro, ZWO ASI120MM-S, ZWO ASIAIR pro and an assortment of new adapters as usual the clouds moved in, then life got busy.

Finally i managed to setup my new imaging system, i still have issues with guiding i need to get the right settings as i kept loosing the guide star

M8 Lagoon Nebula

20 x 3min subs at gain 180
Mostly unguided live stacked, no darks or flats, Processed with startools and gimp.

Scope: 12inch Meade LX200 at f6.3 (alt/az de-rotated)
Camera: ZWO ASI071MC pro
Guider: ZWO ASI120MM-S
ZWO ASIAIR pro

Nice Wayne! You can turn down the gain and do shorter subs. Looks like a fair bit of star saturation. This camera has fairly low read noise.

When using just a UVIR filter I use unity gain (90) and do about 2min subs. That's about optimal for reducing the influence of read noise. Shiraz even made a table for it
