Solar Activity 2nd April 2021

Still processing data from yesterday!
But this morning was another opportunity not to be missed....
The larger prom visible in CaK.
Changed tuning on the DS to show the line of filaments (the prom shows as well!)
Enjoy.

Ken, you have included some very interesting images especially the prom set. The Ha surface details are quite spectacular as well. Thanks for posting.

A great set Ken. Still following these solar activity threads with interest, mostly in lurk mode. The CaK prom is intriguing. Somehow I thought they only emit on the Ha band, evidently not.

Mirko,
The proms (and filaments) are a challenge in CaK. Seems to be a bit dependent on filter bandwidth and central wavelength....and obviously pretty good seeing.
For Ha, I’ve been experimenting with the clocking of the front double stack etalon to improve the overall illumination.
