Vela Supernova Remnant - 1st light

Lots of firsts getting this one. First night after rowan belt modding my heq5, first time with l-extreme filter, first supernova remnant. Managed 3 hours of 300second images before having to actually sleep for work the next day heh.

First time completely processing an image in pixinsight as well. Even went the whole hog doing each calibration and integration required step by step. Happy it worked lol!

Skywatcher HEQ5 belt modded, Skywatcher Evostar 72ed scope, L-Extreme filter, Stellamira flattener, ZWO EAF, ASI 071MC Pro camera at Unity Gain 90, -5c.

Was hoping to add more data but looks like another week of clouds and I have many other targets to play with lol

This should so not be in the beginners' section.

Lol I'm thoroughly a beginner honestly. Hoping I'll upgrade once winter hits and I get more clear skies to hone the craft. At least I get plenty of time to learn processing between shoots heh

Looks good but watch those clipped blacks - there's likely a lot more detail lurking in there

Thanks mate I was actually pretty careful with the blacks. Only brought them down at the last stage and feel I didn't lose anything for the gain in contrast. Think I need more data to reveal more get.
