Another moody entry. I’m kinda liking the tag line my last image received so here’s another one from the moody stable.
The belly of the Chicken in HOO. I really didn’t drag the O3 out in this one which gives it a bit of a sepia feel but I quite like it. It’s probably not a finished product as I only ended up with 6 hrs on it so I may add some more next time the moon dies down a little. If I get over 10hrs to play with then I may try and drag out the O3 some more.... we’ll see....

I use a STC duo filter which only has bandpasses for Ha and 03 so I’ve only ever produced a standard RGB image or Bi colour. I go for HOO because due to light pollution my 03 gets heavily washed out. Having the Oxygen signal featuring in 2 channels helps to bring it out. Seems a bit silly that I haven’t dragged it out in this image yet based on that theory but I will when I have more data.

Excellent image !!
HOO is a bit bland but it does accentuate the detail ( similar to how mono or luminance brings out fine detail )
You must have had some clears nights in Melbourne over the past few weeks to gather so much data ) lucky you
Well done

I agree she’s a bit bland. The more I look at it the more I think I need to do a repro. Watch this space. I am happier with the detail in this one though as you mentioned and I don’t think my stars are too bad either..... getting there. As far as the clear skies go I did have 3 nights a couple of weeks ago where I captured this and dragons in the same night on all three. Apart from that we’ve had nothing. Hopefully some more clear skies will be on the way for us all soon.
