We had a gorgeous night last Saturday in Sydney west and I set up to make it a night. Unfortunately I did something really stupid with my focuser and was packed up by 21:30. So I only got 1.5h (9x600s) on this. Still very noisy and I'm hoping to get out again when it's clear and finish it off.

QHY9/FSQ106N - zwo duoband.

Good night last night. So I have a bit over 8h total integration time now. Little smoother.

very nice Marc, the 1:1 version looks great. A reminder that I need to get out there and do some imaging.

Cheers

Nice one Marc - that's an impressive amount of detail for just 1.5hours. Look forward to seeing how this turns out for you once you get some more sky time.

Thanks Robert. Yeah the seeing was very good and my guiding flat lining. I packed up reluctantly kicking and screaming.

Really tight stars and good detail there Marc.

The good seeing and excellent guiding really show up.

Greg.

Nice Marc. I think greyscale is a good choice for this object—much less clutter.

Thanks guys.

Looks like a couple of clear nights in Sydney Sunday onwards so fingers crossed I can get out again. Seeing forecast is a bit dodgy though.

Last night was a little windy at times. Same with the seeing which was coming and going. But overall it all leveled out and it was a productive session. As I had to shoot some panels around Ophiuchus and had to wait I did the chook and ara on the way while waiting with the camera angled at 90 degrees. Turns out I can fit it all in the field facing this way. Still a little noisy so I might add to it tonight if it's clear again.

This is NGC6188 and its bipolar nebula in the lower left corner.

Thanks mate. If you take care of your stars and your field when capturing the data, which is pretty straight forward then everything else falls into place. You don't have to do any selective processing. It's the simplest way to do it. Nothing to remember or forget.

Gabriella Mistral and cluster

Got another productive night last night. Seeing not as good as yesterday but no surface wind at all. Nearly 4h on this one.

Ic4628

This one is the prawn from last night. I wanted to get the globs in the tail so offset it to the top left. 4.5h total integration. Would need probably double to smooth the field out.
