Lake Moogerah camp site

Does anyone know if this camp site is a good site for astronomy or does it have more floodlights than people as seems fairly usual for camp sites?

I’m looking for somewhere to take the new scope this Saturday.

I contacted the camp just now. It is a setup a little like Duckadang for those used to the Qld Astrofest in that it is a camp used by school trips etc so it has very basic cabins that sleep 18 people and they can accommodate 300 people.

There is an outside electric BBQ but no fridge or indoor kitchen. They have powered and unpowered camping/caravan sites too. The cabins are $25 per person.

I think I may book there for this coming Saturday (Bortle 2 skies) and check the place out. Anyone fancy joining for dark skies with Nocturne?
