Up close and personal Carina

I was able to get a little time under my belt this past week, I had the reducer off the RC which gave me a f/7.9 but did induce some comas in the extreme edges.
There was a mix of 5 min and 3 min subs and only dark subs applied as adding flats and bias gave some funky results. I've tried a few different ways to get bi colour happening while adding some more bi colour to my hair, APP gave the most consistent results which most of the image was done in. There was a bit of boosting in PS to brighten the colouring, depending on what monitor I use depends on the saturation amount. So depending on what you look at it with will determine how strong the blues are.

Gear:

RC8 1593mm f/7.9
ASI071MC

Programs:

Sharpcap
APT
PHD2
Cartes Du Ciel
APP channel split and combine
PS

Thanks for looking

Karl

Karl,
Nice Carina , plenty of detail and really like the bi colour scheme
My only observation is that the Star field is mostly blue
Maybe create a Star mask and colour the stars separately as this region has a great mix of hot and cooler stars , reds , yellows , oranges and blues
Well done !!
Martin

Thank you Martin,

I do realise the stars were blue as well as no mask was made when I was playing around with it. It is an easy fix with a little more time in front of the screen.
