According to the App Store this morning it's $12.99

Interesting - when I did a search for it in the iStore it came up as $12.99, but after following your link I now have a free copy - so thank you!

Paul

You might have missed it, but Skysafari 4 basic is only $4 normally, so I suspect you might be looking at one of the Plus or Pro versions.

Check again! SkySafari 4 by Simulation Curriculum Corp.

Isn't the basic Sky Safari 4 the same as Celestrons Sky Portal (which has always been free).

I recently payed $18 for SS4 plus and it still shows at that price on itunes. Not complaining, mind you, as I think it's worth every cent. Great bit of software. I really like how I can setup a field of view indicator for my scope and camera combo, and when I zoom in on a galaxy, it comes up as a correctly orientated and sized photograph. Brilliant.

Prices on this app seeems to go all over the place.

Yesterday I was going to buy the SS4 pro version at full price but didn't get around to it....today it's half price just don't get it....so I bought it at $24.99
Been using version 3 pro for a few years now on my ipod and have now bought an ipad.
I hope this and Argo Navis will be all I need for a while to come.

For people wondering, SS4 Pro is THE app to get on iPad/iPhone. A truly fantastic tablet planetarium that gets a LOT of use on my devices!
