Backing Camera

I want to put a backing camera in my car. Any ideas or tips? I have electronics experience.

I have a wireless one on my 4WD, easy to install, the camera just needs one wire tapped into the reversing light wire (+12V), and a positive and negative power connection. Has a small screen with a suction cup that just needs power. Easy. I have second camera unit on the back of my camper trailer which i can switch to via a switch on the screen unit.
The crazy thing is some people wire them up to be constantly on, not just reversing, and since they all use a similar frequency, if you drive by them you can see the view from their camera if your dash unit is turned on. Even home wifi units get picked up, which can be entertaining.

Hi

Jaycar have ready to install kits. I can't comment on how good they are, but, they are there.

Thanks for your info - I will look into it.
Glen - the wireless one sounds interesting as it would save the car back to front wiring hassle. Which type of unit did you use?
