AZ-GTi counter weight

Just made a counter weight for the AZ-GTi mount, i have a wedge coming to use it in EQ mode.
The bolt is a stainless steel m12 x 300mm, i got a nut and rounded it off on the bench grinder so it would fit into the lock ring, i had to taper it off so it would tighten on the sleeve and not on the brass bush as can be seen in the photo.
The counter weight is 1.3KG.
The bolt maybe to long and the weight to heavy but time will tell.

Hi Alan,
The SS bolt looks great - can you please post where you sourced it?

Boltmasters here in Townsville but I’m sure you would have one in Melbourne.

I got mine from Bunnings. They have a few options in terms of length and finish.

Cheers
