ToUcam Help Please

Have recently acquired toucam PCVC840K modified for long exposures. I'm not sure its working properly.

When plugged in via usb my computer wont recognize it.... no led light on the camera, computer doesnt make a bong noise , nothing at all.

I've tried two Windows XP machines and a Vista. All other usb bits a pieces seem to work well

Any ideas?

Has it died?

Geoff, although I'm no expert, with a modified version of the unit, I think there has to be two connections, not just a USB one.

Only for the long exposure mod to work. It will stil wok fine as a normal USB camera without the parallel connection.

Have you loaded the drivers/software for it?

Al.

leon's right - needs a serial connection too i think.

Have you loaded the Philips Toucam Drivers?
There should be an XP driver, but none for Vista (64 bit at least).
