Cool Boston Dynamics releases video of Atlas robot athletic prowess including back flips

In an incredible 54 second video published yesterday, Boston Dynamics
shows some of the latest improvements in the athletic prowess of their
Atlas robot.

Getting ready for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics perhaps?

Be sure to watch for the out-takes at the end.

It freaked me out when I saw that video because the thing was so stable on its feet ,strange things coming in the future and I don't think I like the many possibilities at hand now that stability is basically conquered

I don't want my robot butler doing backflips with the coffee

Yes, pretty amazing. And more frequently their video clips show the robots disconnected from umbilicals - internally powered (well for the length of the clip anyway) and transmitting data to the technicians by wireless or bluetooth or whatever.
