Meade DSI 1 as a guide camera?

Hi all,
Looking for an inexpensive way to dip my toe in the water with AP.
I have an opportunity to grab a Meade DSI 1 b&w camera and was wondering if it would be sensitive enough to guide well using an off axis guide adapter. I don't really want to get a guide scope as the Megrez 90 tube rings are very close together due to the rather silly foot that they incorporated into the design. Want to keep it simple and inexpensive.
Any thoughts / insights appreciated.
Bruce.

Yes, the DSI work just fine as guide cameras. You could also adapt a finder as a guide scope and from my experience the DSI works well in this setup. The finder/guiders are short and light and easy to mount.

Keith
