Grus Quartet

Just managed to squeeze the quartet into the field of view of the RC8+ZWO1600!!

Data captured over a few nights this week in suburban Adelaide in between cloud and dew. About 7 hours total, of which about 5 or so was luminance (at 60 seconds per shot). Mounted on an AP Mach1.

Larger version on Astrobin here.

Seemed hard to get much detail in the galaxies. Tips/comments appreciated.

Paul

P.S. Asking PixInsight to solve and annotate the image, there's a huge number of background galaxies in this area - most visible in the image (as small smudges! ). I always find it kind of cool how much/far you can see just from your back yard!!

Nice work, Paul! Tough to get detail in smallish galaxies like those.

It's a tough group to image Paul. I have tried once and captured a fair bit of data and still found it hard to extract lots of detail. You've done a great effort to get it there.
