D-style HEQ5 saddle replacements/adapters?

Hi all.

Had a slight overlook when purchasing my RC8.. I skipped over the part that stated it uses a wide D-style dovetail mounting plate, which my HEQ5 pro cannot take.

Any suggestions on something to use so I can actually put the RC8 onto the HEQ5, with the ADM D-style saddle replacement being the last resort (due to it costing so much to bring to Aus)?

I was lucky, I bought ADM double saddles for both my HEQ5 and NEQ6 while working in the UK.....
May be cheaper to consider changing the dovetail on the scope to a Vixen type???

Jacob,
$200.....
It still means the OTA is effectively hanging on a narrow Vixen saddle...why not a new dovetail for $50???

What dovetail for $50 would be suitable?

The ones I have seen are around $80-$100 anyways

You'd need to check the distance between the mounting screws....
Something like this?

Jacob,
If you're using a Bintel GSO RC8 then it should already be fitted with a Vixen dovetail - opposite side to the Losmandy????

Supplied with D-Style wide dovetail mounting plate and Vixen profile dovetail on top for mounting auxiliary scope.

I wanted to use that for my guidescope whilst i figure out my OAG properly with the RC8. Ofcourse once that is sorted I can use the other side, but for now I'd need to use something else
