M7 Ptolemy Cluster reprocessed in Startools again

Put this image through Startools again to see if I can’t get a better result using the following workflow -

Binned at 50%
1st Auto dev
Wipe
Develop 95%
Deconvolution
Contrast
HDR
Sharpening
Life
Colour
De noise

Much better result than the original
A lot of guess work , trial and error and “time behind the laptop”

Look very nice. Do you mask the stars to adjust their colour?

Thanks Alex
I haven’t masked Stars as yet but it’s on my long list of items to experiment with amongst other things
The most simple but important tool believe it or not is the “before” and “after” buttons and the “zoom” buttons as it provides the visual road map for all your modules throughout the whole workflow
Really enjoying this clever software

Is there anyone else out there starting off using Startools ?
I would like hear some comments
Cheers
Martin

Select mask . Select auto. Select stars. Select do. Done. You may need to srink them..I find going past and coming bach sometimes works I dont know wy it would but I get a nice star mask..
Then crank the colour up and deconvolute☺I reverse the mask and work on the other colour and dont touch the stars...and if you click on the object a mask grows so you can work just on it.

Gee thanks for the tip on star masks , doesn’t sound to complicated
Sounds like your getting your head around Startools

My only criticism of Startools at this stage are the dark colours used in the display and the small size of buttons ,module icons and text etc..( black, grey and white) For those older folk who wear glasses ( me included) it’s a bit difficult on the eyes to read clearly.

Thanks again Alex
