A little bit of 5D function help please

So i now have my mits on this second hand 5D. The previous owner has somehow set it up so that the rear thumb wheel no longer alters aperture in manual mode. The thumb wheel functions for everything else. Can somebody guide me to the ability to change this back. The manual is being no help to me.

Right i have found the 'clear functions' and done so. I had it set on Auto :p
Now i seem to have aperture change in manual mode via the blue + zoom button on the rear. Is there an easy way to change it to the thumbwheel?

Not sure if it's the same but on my 5dmkII the power switch has 3 positions, off - on but with the wheel disabled - on.
Check your flicking the switch to the top position, it should click twice.

Welcome to the club, Michael. It is a classic camera that renders just a beautiful image today as it did the day it was released.

The /only/ thing it is missing is Live View. Otherwise, happy days.

Chuck an 85mm lens on it and fall in love.
