TLE timelapse from Cootamundra *added HDR composite*

Here's my efforts on this TLE. Thanks to John Glossop for the 5 star accommodation and pristine skies.

SONY NEX-5, Baader FFCx3, APO CF 90mm, tracked on G11.

Exposures ranging from 1/400s at ISO 200 up to 5s at ISO800 during totality. Intervalometer set at 20s.

Levels, Color balance in Adobe Lightroom.
Illumination equalisation done in LR Timelapse.
Registered in PixInsight.
Rendered in Adobe After Effects and exported to Vimeo with Premiere Pro CS6.

Just added a HDR composite of Totality with Ingress and Egress.
Full resolution can be seen here. [4329x2022: 1.78MB]. I used Registax in series of 18 subs for the details and Photoshop for the colors and levels.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the view.

Nice work Marc!

Really demonstrates the movement of earths shadow moving in totality.

Cheers,

Justin.

I'm trying to play with overlays a bit this week-end and do some kind of illustration to show the outlines of the penumbra and umbra. Will update the video when done.

That is simply outstanding.

That graphic is awesome, too.

That's great Marc my exposures didn't quite have the dynamic range to pull off HDR shot (I tried the lit area was over exposed), these turned out great.

Cheers

Beautiful backlit lantern effect in the montage. It glows on my desktop. Just in time for Halloween!
