Hi all.
Inspired by some of the other Aurora Australis photos posted recently, I thought I'd post my own.
I watched the indicators all day on June 1st and they were very promising. I couldn't get out the door until about 7pm, so it was 8:30ish by the time I set up in Flinders. I missed the best of it, but was still happy that I managed to snag my first one.
I'm the first to admit it's not a great photo, with nothing in the foreground, but I do like the colours. I was so excited that I didn't concentrate too hard on the photography.
I'll work on composition next time!
