17.5 inch dob $3500 Bargain

17.5 inch dob
17.5 INCH DOB
Reduced to $3500 Bargain price.
Constructed for ease of assembly and transport, the mirror box and base is made from Engineering Plastic, no problems with moisture on damp ground. The top and base fit together for easy transport and the wheelbarrow style wheels slide into quick locks for easy attachment.
The truss clamps are quick release and the whole telescope can be assembled and disassembled in a few minutes,
The mirror is a 17.5" f4.5 Coulter mirror and was re-figured by Steve Swayze, http://www.swayzeoptical.com/ the mirror is in good condition, the coating is good, and performance is excellent.
I saw the small stars in the centre of the Orion nebula for the first time through this scope, something I cannot see in my 14" ACF.
Height to eyepiece from the ground when the tube it pointed straight up is 1860mm which means if you are tall you can stand on tippy toes to look through it but if you are short you will need a one or two step ladder.
Only selling because my plans to leave it in a remote location have changed.
